💛 About Giona

Giona was a bright and loving 12-year-old boy whose smile could light up any room. Full of life, laughter, and endless dreams, he had a heart that reached people of all ages.

He was an aspiring footballer who dreamed of one day playing for his favorite team — Arsenal. Every kick of the ball reflected his energy, his determination, and his pure joy for life.

But Giona was more than just a dreamer. He was a helper, a leader, and a light in his community. At church, he served faithfully as the cameraman, capturing moments of worship and fellowship with care and creativity.

On Saturday mornings, he was the pacesetter for his local community walking group — leading neighbors and friends on early walks filled with laughter, encouragement, and togetherness. Giona had a gift for bringing people together, inspiring others simply by being himself.

Tragically, on December 12, 2024, Giona’s journey ended far too soon when he died by suicide. His passing left a deep void in the hearts of his family, friends, and everyone who knew him. But even in the midst of heartbreak, his story became a spark — a call to action to ensure that no child’s voice is ever lost to silence again.

Out of this love and loss, Giona’s Voice Foundation was born — a movement to honour his memory by turning pain into purpose. Through this foundation, Giona’s light continues to shine.

His compassion lives on in every support group that brings comfort to grieving families, in every workshop that helps children express their emotions, and in every conversation that opens the door to healing.

Giona’s story reminds us that every voice deserves to be heard, and every child deserves to know they are not alone. His legacy is one of hope, connection, and courage — a lasting voice that calls us all to listen, to love, and to speak.

 Giona was not just iur son — he was our light, our laughter, and our greatest teacher. His kindness, creativity, and courage touched so many lives in such a short time. When he left us on December 12, 2024, our world stood still. The silence that followed was heavy — the kind of silence no parent should ever have to face.

But in that silence, we began to hear something else — a call. A call to speak for those who feel unheard, to comfort those who grieve alone, and to create a space where children can express what words sometimes cannot. That call became Giona’s Voice Foundation.

This foundation is our promise — to Giona and to every child like him — that their voices will not fade into silence. It is also a promise to every grieving parent that healing is possible and that they are not alone.

Through Giona’s Voice Foundation, we are transforming pain into purpose. We are building safe spaces where children can open up about their emotions, where families can find strength in community, and where hope can rise again, one voice at a time.
